WHY I THINK YOU SHOULD WATCH WIVES ON STRIKE

WHY I THINK YOU SHOULD WATCH WIVES ON STRIKE

I have been hearing a lot of reviews about the movie “Wives on Strike” and I decided to go see the movie with two of my friends. I’ll say it met my expectations and it was definitely not a waste of N1,500 naira…This is why I think you should also go and see the movie

It is funny as hell

Really these days people are just too serious. I know the fuel price is up, the value of naira against dollars is alarming but things will get better…You can choose to laugh through the process or grumble all the way. Wives on Strike will definitely make you laugh.

It is educative/informative

Wives on Strike is very informative especially on the topic of a child bride. I also think its release was very needful at this point in time with Ese Oruru’s case and a couple of others. We need to quickly eradicate this mentality of a child bride. This movie also makes us know that there is power in a collective effort. Our voices can be heard.

We should not only #buynaija we should #watchnaija

I find it strange that people laugh when I tell them I went to the cinema and I settled for a Nigerian movie…I know there was a time that I would have been part of the group of people that laughed at people going to the cinema to watch a Nigerian movie but that mindset has totally been flung out of the window and I must say I haven’t been disappointed thus far. We are Nigerians let us support our local movie.

Nollywood has developed and it’s fun seeing the change

From karishika, Nneka the pretty serpent to October 1, Fifty, Wives on Strike…Nollywood has greatly improved from what it used to be and I am glad to see the evolution change. I can’t wait for where this sector is headed and every other sector in Nigeria. It brings hope. If Nollywood can develop this much. I think there is hope.

It was produced by Omoni Oboli

I am biased that the movie producer is a woman, a wife, and a mother, that’s like doing times two of the work required of a man. Beyond that Omoni Oboli is a fantastic Actor and Producer.

Numbers are winning – The movie grossed about 60 million in a few days after its release. The first of its kind in Nollywood.

Well, numbers say a lot. And right now the numbers say Wives on Strike is a much watch.

It has some of the best acts put together in one movie

Omoni Oboli, Chioma Chukwuka, Uche Jombo, Ufoma Mcdermott, Julius Agwu, Kenneth Okonkwo…The list is endless…The actors delivered their role seamlessly.

Costuming\Picture Quality was great

I believe that the picture quality can get better but beyond that it was great. I think the picture quality may have had to do with the cinema where I watched it, I noticed the picture quality of the adverts before the movie started was not so sharp. Also, I watched the preview and the quality on the screen deferred from the one at the cinema. So I believe the picture quality was way better than I viewed it. The costume was well planned. The locations were also well planned.

The movie gets an A from me.
