Raymond Dokpesi Endurance Trek, 2015: A March for Dokpesi
The trek is an annual event to celebrate Raymond Dokpesi and other great Nigerians with outstanding contribution to the development of Nigeria.
Dr. Raymond Dokpesi started the revolution in private broadcasting in Nigeria. He pioneered the first private electronic media, Raypower 100.5fm. He was also the first to introduce 24 hours broadcasting in Nigeria.
The 2015 Raymond Dokpesi Endurance Trek was done in Lagos, the trek started from the major motor park in Kola Bus stop Alagbado and ended at the premises of DAAR Communications Plc, where Raypower 100.5fm, the first private electronic media is sited.
The bravery of Dokpesi in the introduction of alternative voice, with Raypower and A.I.T, the voice of the citizens became louder.
The trek also featured speeches from Nigerians on issues of security, media, and change…The citizens were informed that security is everyone’s business.
