It is time for you to finally start getting to work early.

Getting to work early might be difficult for some people because of some things they need to stop doing, and some things they need to start doing.

If you are serious about getting to work early and about protecting your image at your workplace, here are some of the things you need to start doing:

Get an effective app

One of the things that helped me to start getting to work early is one App I use called ‘Alarmy’. This app is more effective than the one I already have on my phone because it is louder and it forces me to be awake to be able to put it off. Sometimes, I still sleep back, but I have improved than before. You can research on an app that will be effective for you and use it.

Be excited about where you are going

I have come to know that whenever I feel excited about where I am going, I get to prepare early enough for the place and I anticipate my journey to the place. And so, if you get excited about where you are about to go, you will be motivated to prepare early and prepare well enough for it.

Prepare before the morning

Before going to work in the morning, prepare the night before and set out all the things you need to get ready. When you do this, there may really nothing much left to prepare during the next morning. Prepare your bags and ensure your clothes are ready. Most times, it is advisable to get your clothes for the week ready during the week.

Give yourself buffer time

Don’t set out to leave home and get to work at the exact time you need to get work. Give yourself buffer time of some minutes, in order to avoid anything to delay you from getting to work when you need to get to work.

Go to bed early

It is normal that when you go to bed early, you wake up early. Make it a habit to always go to bed early; set out a time when you will sleep so as to wake up early for work the next morning.

Have an accountability partner

Have someone who can work with you as an accountability partner to help you wake up on time. The person can be living with you or he or she can be a friend that can act as an accountability partner with you to ensure that you get up early for work.

Avoid caffeine

Avoid caffeine so you can sleep well. According to ScienceAlert research shows that taking coffee before sleep disrupts your circadian clock that tells you when to sleep and wake up. Well, now you know why you may be losing sleep or getting up late. The effect may not be very easy to detect but has proven that drinking coffee 0 – 6hours before sleep, affects your sleeping pattern.

Be disciplined

Be disciplined with your time and ensure that you don’t allow laziness. There would be days you feel like not going anywhere or waking up but being disciplined means you know what you have to do and you do it.

Have a purpose

If you have a purpose concerning where you are going, you will be motivated to do the needful. For instance, if you wake up and you think about why you need to get to work early, you might be motivated to get up early and work towards getting to work early.

Watch what you eat and when you eat

Ensure that you eat the right things and that you eat them at the right time so you can give your food enough time to easily digest.
